Brand Spotlight: Ridetech

If you’ve been in the custom car and truck industry for more than half a day you’ve heard of Ridetech. They’ve been making suspension parts for cool rides for close to thirty years, and the impact they’ve made has been tremendous. They make some high-quality stuff too, which is part of why they’re today’s Brand Spotlight. But what else do they do? Let’s talk about it.

Bags before bags were bags.

Ridetech has been making airbags for what seems like forever now, and one of the places they first made a dent was with their Shockwave system. These are airbags with an integrated shock and the appropriate mounts top and bottom. This makes installing them a bolt-in process, and it doesn’t get much easier than that.

For example, they make a set of Shockwaves for 2007–2018 GM fullsize trucks, and it has all the brackets and components you’ll need to set your Chevy or GMC down substantially lower on bags. But in some applications they also have Shockwaves with remote reservoirs. If you select Track Quality for this set of 1967–1969 Camaro Shockwaves for example, you get those remote reservoirs and easy access to the shock calibration tuning knobs. It looks cool and performs even better.

They also have their CoolRide system, like this one for a 1958–1964 Cadillac. It comes with shocks, bags, and all of the mounting parts you need. There are a lot of different types of CoolRide systems, but they work the same way. You get the parts you need in one kit, and that’s that. Easy.

Handling is a priority.

Let’s say that you’re not into airbags. That’s fine. It doesn’t hurt our feelings. Still, if you want to have a lower stance and still get the improved handling, check out one over their coilover setups.

This is a kit for a 2006–2015 Mazda Miata, which is one of those cars that people love to buy so they can take it through the twisties. Ridetech now has coilovers to help you fine tune the suspension in your own ride. Now you can adjust the height to get everything sorted perfectly, giving yourself a car that handles the way you want it to. That’s a pretty big win.

Go with the pros.

We’ve been selling Ridetech products for a long time now, and we’ve used them personally as well. If you want something that performs great and is built well, you don’t have to look much farther than Ridetech. Check them out for yourself and see what they offer for your ride. Who knows, it might just be exactly what you’re looking for.
