This is only PROPER sealant for any air pneumatic or hydraulic system. LOCTITE is an aeronautical sealant that is designed to work in extreme heat or cold. It does not expand and and contract like teflon or pipe dope and sets up and seals EVERY TIME. If you are looking for peace of mind when you are installing look no further, the LOCTITE 545 is EXACTLY what you need.
For NPT threaded fittings, choose LOCTITE® 545. This thread sealant is perfect for small fittings in general, especially as used in hydraulic and pneumatic installations. The medium-viscosity product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration when cured. It's specially formulated to offer lubricity for the easy assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, and contains no fillers or particles that could contaminate system fluids, foul valves, or clog fine filters and screens. Suitable for fittings up to 2 in. (50 mm) in diameter including pneumatic and hydraulic fittings. Excellent solvent resistance. ABSSM Approved. CFIA Approved.
