Lift Kits

If you want to take your truck or SUV to new heights, then you should check out one of the many lift kits we've got in stock. We add new ones every day, and they're available in all sorts of different heights and configurations. But how do you know which one of our lift kits you'll need?

Start by figuring out what kind of truck or SUV you have (which should be pretty obvious), but then narrow it down further by year, trim level and drivetrain. For example, a 1998 Silverado two-wheel drive truck may need a different lift kit than a 1998 Silverado four-wheel drive. Your tonnage rating — 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton, etc — will also change which one of our lift kits you purchase, as some kits need to be heavier duty than others.

Now before you plunk down cash on one of our lift kits, next up on your consideration list is tire size. Now lift kits are not tire-size specific, but the two do go hand in hand. When you install a lift kit on your truck, you'll gain more gap between your tires and fenders. On the one hand, that's great; mission accomplished. But go too high and your stock wheels and tires start to look tiny, and that gives you a weird appearance. Nobody wants that.

The tires are also going to change how high up your truck or SUV goes. While lift kits raise up the suspension, the tires give you even more altitude. So if you want a mild lift, you want smaller tires. Bigger lift, bigger tires — you get the idea.

The solution is to figure out what size wheels and tires you want for your truck first, then go check out our lift kits.

Lift kits come in different lift amounts, so now you should determine how high you want to go. Take those tires in mind again, too. Look at examples of these trucks with the lift kits and tires installed, a lot of which are available on our product pages.

Also consider installation. While we do offer installation for our lift kits here, you may not be conveniently located in the Arizona area. Are you going to install the kit yourself? Is it going to need fabrication that you can do? Will it require tools you do not have? While some kits are pretty straightforward, others may require you to do some heavy lifting to get everything situated just right. Make sure that you have both the tools and the ability to get everything installed correctly. Of course, if you have a local shop who can do the install for you, have at it.
